Killer history of #Blackmagic here by @latenite . Very, very informative; changes the way I see the company and its mission.

FYI. This would be a problem when uploading to the streaming distribution platform we are using. Their requirements are as stringent as I have seen.

After using #TopazAI for a week I can safely say it is indispensable. Def upgrading to the full Studio suite annual plan at ~$37/mth.
Spent today uprezzing 1080p footage that I had zoomed into here and there to 8k and wow. Up really close it looks waxy, but as the scenes roll you don't notice the brutal quality changes btwn 6k Blackmagic footage & 3-4yr-old smartphone. Running #FCPX denoise on the BM stuff too, and it's all looking better than I thought it could!

Tried this today. I was really hoping it would be legitimate upscaling of some kind but it really is much more like the type of sharpening that you see in photo editing apps.
I have some pretty awful footage that needs help, but more in like a restoration type of way I guess. This makes it look more like a watercolor/comic book.

Interesting… Created compound clips to sync up various microphones with the video, so they could all be cut at once. Once the edits are done, I detach the audio so I can create crossfades between the pieces.
Came across a compound clip that could not be ungrouped and I couldn't figure out… Turns out that if you've re-timed a compound clip you can't separate what's in it anymore. So I had to set it to 100%, separate it, and then reapply the re-time!
