In The Apocrypha of the Knight Shamans, awakening is never a single moment. It is a process—a difficult movement from inherited assumptions toward a deeper understanding of self, community, and the unseen forces shaping both.
The world of the series has already been shattered by earthquakes, political conflict, social collapse, and forgotten dangers. Yet the books are not only about surviving catastrophe. The inner awakening
A Knight Shaman must first awaken the spirit society has buried beneath programming, fear, and cultural expectations. That awakening is personal, but it is never merely private.
