At a time of climate collapse, growing inequality, and tyranny on the march, the BBC are laying on a thick coating of hopium, with programs including "The Happy Pod", "People Fixing the World" and "Tech Life".
I wish they'd do a half hour show called "The Doom Report".

22 years ago today I gave up flying, and the cognitive dissonance that came with knowing its consequences.
I highly recommend it — as discussed with the late #MichaelDowd when launching his wonderful #PostDoom.com, it's made me happier ever since!

Tout va aller très vite, il faut aider les gens à accepter cette réalité pour que la fin ne soit pas trop merdique (la fin du monde techno-capilastico-plastico-fossile)
C'est comme la finale du film Melancholia (et moins dramatique, Don't look up) : vaut mieux qu'on se tienne par la main pendant les dernières décennies plutôt que de s'entre-tuer (ce n'est plus une joute et il n'y aura pas de vainqueur dans cet épisode)

Les prestations live des post-doomers belges Amenra, qui mêlent art visuel et intensité bouleversante, sont connues pour être incontournables. Depuis 1999, le groupe réduit les âmes en poussière avec ses complaintes spirituelles. Leur dernier album De Doorn (The Thorn) a certes apporté un peu de variété dans le mix, mais il n'a servi qu'à élargir leurs possibilités de catharsis.
