为什么贵宾是这个造型？

提起犬赛上的贵宾，人们往往有种偏见，觉得这是一种时尚，把一部分人类的独特审美强加在狗的身上。但其实贵宾的造型完全是出于实用而渐渐发展出来的。

作为水猎犬，贵宾需要跳进江河湖里边把被击落的水鸟叼出来。口吻上的毛被剃掉，视线不受阻。四肢的毛剃掉，划水能更快，减少狗子在水里工作的时间，也不被水藻缠住，更加安全；前半身体留毛，为了保暖和保护重要器官；四只脚留毛，可以保护关节也保暖；头冠留毛，可以扎不同颜色的发带，既避免被猎人误伤，也能一下子认出自己家的狗子。

不管是梳开的毛（图一）还是绳索状毛（图二），造型都是一样的。如果看一下1906年的贵宾（图三），现在的贵宾造型依然一致，只不过毛毛留的长了一些。而且不仅是贵宾，其他水猎犬，比如葡萄牙水猎犬（图四），相似的工作类型，就会有相似的造型。

当然，现在都是作为宠物来养，还是整体短一些的运动装最好打理，也可以留长一些，做毛茸茸的可爱造型。但不管什么发型，贵宾都要每天梳毛，不然打结了再去梳理，既麻烦费时，还容易伤到皮肤
