i do have a pair of sturdy hiking boots though. and i'm not averse to cycling if it's an e-bike and i don't have to bring it with me all the way from Norway.
usually, whenever i travelled, i booked tickets and hotels/hostels in advance. i guess buying bus/train/ferry tickets for same day departure wouldn't be a problem, but how do i find a place to sleep in, say, #Portree #PortRìgh or #Stornoway #Steòrnabhagh when i get there?

Some days the peaks of the #Cuillins, twenty or so miles away from the village, are completely lost in the mist. At other times they appear hazy and distant. On a clear day with the slopes covered in high contrast snow they seem just out of reach.
