- Abbia rinominato correttamente la rom posizionata in roms/
- Copiato l'exe e la cartella data della versione portable di PokeMMO senza sovrascrivere i dati già presenti nella cartella del port
- Scaricato i runtime richiestiAll'avvio vedo il logo PokeMMO su nero col cursore che si blocca dopo pochi secondi e non fa più niente. Voi avete provato? Vi funziona?

Got myself a used #POWKIDDY #RGB30 #RK3566 #RetroHandheld as a VERY belated birthday gift for myself! People seem to largely get this type of device for retro emulation but I am just as excited for #portmaster and #pico8 in a handheld form factor!

Looks like the open-source application firewall Portmaster has been acquired by the VPN provider IVPN.
I have tried out Portmaster in the past, it worked quite well. It is GPL licensed and will hopefully stay that way. But in my experience, an acquisition of a widely used open-source tool usually leads to a non-foss license change down the line, let's hope that doesn't happen here... there are no indicators of that happening other than my own cynicism. But my cynicism has been well-fed over the last years by corporations acquiring and enshittifying previously open-source projects. Maybe IVPN is different, I know nothing about them.

@matchboxbananasynergy well I use Tor(something i fear saying for being a target), Signal, Portmaster And their SPN( because Setting up a firewall in linux is too hard, but too dangerous not to use) And Arch linux BTW(because no other distro comes with a manual)

It's crazy how many PC #games you can add to your cheapo handhelds like #Anbernic's #RG35XX (family) thanks to #Portmaster - including #StardewValley, #Undertale, #Deltarune, #HalfLife, and even #Minetest.
It's making me wanna buy some of the older games found in this list that I would've not wanted to play on my PC otherwise.

- Friendica loads and freeze SO MUCH SLOW AND FREQUENTLY!
- when I scroll or adding a new line in my posts it really freezes soo much!
Vivaldi isn't a bad browser: you have problems with it. Examples:
- Twitter's Ads not blocked even after adding it to "Exceptions" list in settings, so I needed to install uBlock Origin.
- I have @safing 's Portmaster installed, have set "Default Network Action" in settings to "Prompt" option which allows me to control the connections desktop app are connected to. Every time when I want to open ANY website in #Vivaldi , Vivaldi asks a permission (actually not Vivaldi itself but it asks to #Safing 's #Portmaster which is displays me a notification for that) to connect to some, unknown for me, an IP address. Like, come on dude, I just want to open a website!........And when I block some connections I actually find it out that I blocked some needed for YouTube a video source website connection. And that sucks that I need to go and manually unblock that website.
Now, you might probably wondering: why is tf do I have those very strict settings in Portmaster for Vivaldi????? What stops/prevents me from allowing to have ALL of permissions for Vivaldi??????????
Well, it's because Vivaldi tracks my IP address and gives it to its servers in Iceland. I don't want my IP address to be sold to adversting companies, so if Vivaldi wouldn't do this, then I wouldn't need to have those strict settings in PortMaster for Vivaldi enabled.
Please, #VivaldiTeam , fix that problem and do something.

#Safing #Portmaster is a great #FOSS tool to limit network activity of programs and websites. It can even block #Google #Amazon #Meta #Microsoft and #Apple domains completely. And it also protects against #Malware and #Phishing attacks.

I just learned about @[email protected]'s #Portmaster.
It looks pretty neat so far and is basically a locally running #firewall/#PiHole with a nice #DesktopUI for 🐧 #Linux and #Windows.https://github.com/safing/portmaster#take-back-control-of-your-computer

Al momento ho solo provato i porting come #Apotris o #Mindustry ma non tutti vanno come dovrebbero, altri non vanno proprio (vedasi #Luanti). Mi piacerebbe usare il più possibile giochi liberi e innovativi. Sapete se esiste qualcosa anche su itch.io o altri lidi? Quello che ho trovato finora è tramite #PortMaster su #MuOS.
