  6. Hørte ordet "asadora" fra en skjerm og skjønte åssen det hang sammen. Et kort men stolt språk-øyeblikk..

  7. My goodness, they're right, and this #neologism, binfluencer, makes sense - there's absolutely people on our street who roll out their trash and recycling bins bang on 3pm the afternoon before trash pickup. If I'm home, its a pavlovian response from me. barrypopik.com/blog/binfluence #words #binfluencer #portmanteau

  12. This evening's viewing: 1945 British flick Dead of Night, largely held to be the grandaddy of the "portmanteau" style of anthology #horror that Hammer and Amicus would use often in the 60s and 70s (also boasts an early "is the ventriloquist mad or the dummy alive?" story)

Unusual for the time, also unusual in being an Ealing production, better known for their comedies.

  14. @tris calling the temporary #Lynn #CommuterRail station the 'Lynnterim'
is an abomination of a #portmanteau, and thus I'm all here for it. #MBTA

  15. This evening's viewing: The Uncanny, a creaking, 70s #horror in the portmanteau style of linked shorts, except here the tales are being told by author Peter Cushing, who is sure cats are behind all the deaths.

Daft but kind of easily enjoyable for a Sunday night
