#portlandrose — Public Fediverse posts

What a glorious #PortlandRose bush, growing in the inner side of this residential fence.

I love how the petals turn on themselves in curls, and the vibrant pink surface that attracted me to take a good look.

Had a smell too, up close… they were aromatic with a fresh ‘rose’ smell - that characteristic aroma that brings back flooding memories of childhood and times past.

What a treat of the senses.

Portland roses are in bloom, yes they are! And they’re tiny and just spectacular.

These were taken in a public garden bed in #balaclava #Australia and are happy little Vegemite’s

Hope you enjoy just as I did, just now…

I noticed this #PortlandRose bush over a period of a few days and I just hadn’t had time to stop. But eventually I did!

And I am so glad because up close, it was one of the most aromatic and visually pleasing roses I have been in the presence of, this summer.

Teeming with pollinating #bees this beautiful bush was the feature of this suburban garden.

I can still smell it now.

🙏💖

Went for a drive with a good friend and her front garden presented with such a beautiful aroma.

These were the source of said delightful smell! 👇

I present the Portland Rose…

Thinking of contacting #mastodoncentral to request a scratch ‘n smell function.

That’d add a new dimension to social media, hey? 😂😂
