With my seventh #interrail pass I finally dared to travel the endboss: #spain 😅
When making reservations with #raileurope they only gave me second class from Paris in direction Barcelona without letting me decide and didn’t react on my questions 👎
In #Portbou I noticed that the time tables of the #RailPlanner app / #DB and #renfe were not the same 🤯 So there are rails (👍) but planning seems hard 👎 cc: @jon
Thus I unfolded my #brompton and had some extra time a la playa 👍

Earlier this week, on an #SNCF 🇫🇷 #TER #Lio service from #Avignon to #Portbou, just across the border with Spain. I’m getting off at #Tarascon station, a few metres away from the bridge across the #Rhône river and the #Occitanie region. A #Bombardier Class #Z27500 unit is working this service.

The #RENFE “Estrella Costa Brava” night train from #Madrid 🇪🇸 is seen here at #Cerbère 🇫🇷 border station in January 2008 on one of the station’s broad gauge tracks. The train terminates here and will push back across the border to #Portbou, getting ready for the return trip in the evening.
