    Today I am making a staple of Hungarian cooking called pörkölt - or less glamorously in English - stew. But the bacon fat and paprika and the long, slow cooking are what gives pörkölt its distinctive Hungarian flavour.

    Ik had ooit de eer om #pörkölt te eten op #oma's wijze in #hongarije. Een #nichtje van mijn ex was er als 6-jarige bij en vertaalde alles wat wij zeiden naar haar #hongaarse #oma. #oma straalde, want zij had dit speciaal voor ons gemaakt. Haar man had eigenhandig het huis gebouwd waar wij toen verbleven. Daardoor smaakte het extra lekker natuurlijk. 😍
