Unlucky handball for the penalty that made it 2-1. Fabulous strike for the goal to make it 3-1. And we haven't looked too godawful in defence today, which is nice, and very surprising.

Pompey are playing West Ham in the Carabao Cup right now. It's not an easy competition to get excited about. However, I have just learnt what a carabao is, so that's something.

There's been a serious crash at the bottom of the motorway here in #Portsmouth and it feels like most of the diverted traffic (and there will be a lot as #Pompey are playing at 12:30) is using our road as an alternative route. Like Piccadilly Circus out the living room window right now.

Short but nice little watch for Pompey or architecture fans. Football fan Sam North visits Fratton Park, home of Portsmouth Football Club, and is quite taken with the work of Scottish architect, Archibald Leitch.

Not great for Pompey at Coventry tonight, but great for Pompey at Oxford so that'll have to do.
Coventry City worthy winners even if most of the avalanche started with our diabolical defensive antics.

Nice to see that it's not just our defence that can gift goals to the opposition. Just need a Coventry own goal now and it'll be game on.

The less said about the start to the second half, the better.

1-0 down at the half.
Opening three minutes were good for Pompey but it's been a bit of a slog since then, not helped by the poor sound quality making it sound duller than it is, nor helped by our old inability to defend a corner coming back to haunt us.
Anyway, Oxford also losing so if nothing else changes then both Coventry and Pompey fans will be celebrating at full time.

The Pompey 3rd kit doubles as hi-vis safety gear. You're certainly not going to run over one of our players in the dark accidentally.

Game over. 1-0 to Pompey. Three wins on the trot, three clean sheets. A great run of results just when we needed them. Not a great game, affected by the early injuries, but I reckon we have to be safe now.

Pompey living dangerously now. Schmid's made two crucial stops in the last few minutes. Hopefully we can weather this and catch Leicester on the break at some point, assuming our lot can stay on their feet.

Goal to Pompey coming on the back of a couple of good chances perhaps stemming from some more space in Leicester's defence now. Not the prettiest goal from a corner (understatement, and it shouldn't have been allowed thanks to a hand in there) but them's the breaks.

Free-flowing football. That's something that would be nice to see in the second half.

I don't think many people would've seen us picking up six points in consecutive games against teams in the top four of the table, but here we are. Dealt with a lot more pressure in the second half but there weren't many moments of real threat. Great win, Pompey.
