Have you been looking for something to help you focus? Have you heard of a pomodoro timer?
It's an old, simple idea: work for 25 minutes, take a 5-minute break, repeat, and take a longer break after four rounds. I've used one for years.
What I could never find was a timer that followed me between my Mac, my iPhone, and Watch without me babysitting it. So I built one for myself, and today it's on the App Store.
It’s called Rossino. It sits in the menu bar on the Mac, shows up on the Lock Screen and in widgets on the iPhone, and works on the iPad too. When a session ends it plays a chime and asks what you'd like to do next.
There's a free version, which is the whole timer for one device. If you want the convenience of keeping your Mac, iPhone, iPad, and Watch in sync so the countdown reads the same second on all of them, there's a paid version, $24.99 a year with a week to try it. And yes — it's on the Apple Watch too, with complications for your watch face.
There's no account to create and nothing is tracked. Your timer and your history stay on your devices and in your own iCloud.
