"Auf Wiedersehen", or "Auf Wiederseh'n, Sweetheart", is a song written by #German composer Eberhard Storch around 1950. Storch wrote the song in the hospital for his wife Maria as he was ill for a long time. It was originally sung in German by #RudiSchuricke and released on the 78 rpm record #Polydor 48 374 H in 1950. It should not be confused with the 1932 song Auf Wiedersehen, My Dear.

Lloyd Cole and the Commotions, Mainstream, 1987 on Capitol
Third and last studio LP under the name Lloyd Cole and the Commotions, released by Polydor in the UK and Capitol in the US. Fared better in the UK than in the US, where it failed to chart.
One track produced by Stewart Copeland, the rest by Ian Stanley. Well worth a listen if you liked Rattlesnakes or other Lloyd Cole.
My copy—via Academy Records in NYC—is an Allied pressing with Specialty metalwork on purple Capitol labels (and the original custom inner liner).

I collect lots of John Mayall – this followed the era of Mayall moving to the US in the late 60s, and the band here includes Larry Taylor, Red Holloway, Soko Richardson, Hightide Harris and Randy Resnick. Lots of jazz/fusion influence here with saxophone. Mayall is wearing a cast on the cover.
Mayall passed unfortunately in 2024, but there are so many great LPs live and from the studio that I keep finding new (to me) music from his career.
My copy—via A1 Records in NYC—is a 1974 All Disc pressing in a gatefold sleeve.

It was recorded and released in 1971 as the opening track of their second studio album #MovingWaves. Ich mein, nehmen wir mal alles von Electrola bis EMI, die #Polydor in all ihren Varianten und Firmenkonstruktionen, Brunswick, London und wie sie nicht alle heissen bzw. hiessen. #Philips mit seinem OhGottOhGott-Label #Fontana fiele mir da auch noch ein.
Oder Sam Phillip's #SunRecords der weitere Labels wie #PhillipsInternational (nicht zu verwechseln mit "unserer" Philips) oder auch #CharlyRecords gründete und betrieb.
Wobei Charly wiederum, bis heute noch, meine ich, viele der damals unveröffentlich gebliebenen Sun-Aufnahmen raushaut. So z.B. Jerry Lee Lewis "Friday Night" und andere Schätze aus den 1950ern. Kurze, knackige Tracks mit grade mal 1:50 bis zwei Minuten Spielzeit pro Titel. Herrlich.🤩🤩

He was working as A&R for #Polydor at the time, and not only did he sign them to a record deal - he produced their first few singles. He also ALMoST had a hand in signing two of the most iconic bands of all time, but his requests to Polydor in 1976 to sign the #SexPistols and #theClash were rejected. He did convince the label to sign #SiouxsieandtheBanshees
