In short, it does the job of concealing the android’s true nature from a few feet away. So, I decided I wanted to try using an #enclosure for my #FLSun #V400 to try to reduce warping issues. I bought the official kit - it's fairly nice bulbous #polycarbonate panels for each of the 3 sides, and shouldn't have any issues with the effector clearance.

Купил поликарбонатового прутка от Shapata (https://www.shapata.com/product.php?product=144)
Несмотря на то, что приехал в вакуумированной запаянной упаковке с силикагелем, в экструдере дичайше пузырился.
Закинул на ночь в духовку на 80-90°. Больше не пузырится.
Однако эксперимент с нагрузкой печатной детали на растяжение показывает предел прочности всего 45МПа. От столь требовательного и недешёвого материала я ожидал совсем других цифр. Даже нейлоновая леска для триммера из хозмага показывает >60МПа (но нейлон слишком уж мягкий для многих вещей и тоже пердольный).
Обидно. Наверное продаван толкает говно. Но вот АБС от них же оказался хорош. И поликарбонат хотя бы твёрдый весьма: соплёй из сопла (~0.4мм диаметром) с острым концом продырявил кожу подушечки пальца.

The new #deWalt interlocking #drillBit cases with clear covers are nice.

Whether these bits are any good on #styrene or #polycarbonate is another matter. The deWalt bits I had were no good (and one set I just got is likely identical to one I had, except for the case).

I don’t do much HW stuff, but sometimes am drilling into thing to house hokey little #electronics projects (such as my #JFET #opAmp continuity detector for making sure I didn’t screw up the connections in the next version).
