Here is my current dual-monitor layout.

Left monitor is my laptop, featuring apps like TickTick or Teams.
Right monitor is my main / focus screen, where everything else happens.

Configured #i3, added #polybar (and changed a few settings from default), got it working on multiple monitors, fixed my #xrandr setup, installed a few random #emacs packages. I should probably go to bed now but it was a lot of fun!

Después de un tiempo vale darse una vuelta por un #ViernesDeEscritorio , para no saturar. Como hace mucho en #i3wm bajo #archlinux, aprovechando para hacer un upgrade del sistema.
#polybar con script varios, entre ellos uno para visualizar lo que se reproduce con mopidy + ncmpcpp (musica o podcast) En fin nada fuera de lo habitual.

I'm getting myself setup with a nice i3 rice. I'm working on the bar at the minute, does anyone know how to get all workspaces to show (no matter whether it's got something in or not) in #Polybar . It's using the xworkspaces module (code below).

Llego tarde para el #viernesdeescritorio de esta semana (o tremendamente pronto para el próximo), pero:

Estoy probando #i3wm con #picom y #polybar. De momento me está gustando mucho (he partido de la configuración de Endeavour OS), aunque hay aún muchas configuraciones que tengo pendientes, sobretodo con respecto a Polybar:
- systray
- gestor de micros
- que al pulsar sobre la RAM, cambie de % a valor absoluto
- gestor de redes wifi
- global-menu (esto probablemente no lo vea en años, lo sé).

Personally I use #xmonad though. I wouldn't recommend using it unless you want to learn #haskell. I have used #awesomeWM and #qtile as well, but I am not as well versed in them.

Haskell was quite fun to learn as its a purely functional language with no object oriented ability.

The reason why I use xmonad is primarily because there are so many libraries for it. I #polybar rather than #xmobar.

#TIL for multi-monitor setup in #archlinux, first use `arandr` and choose the layout. Next save it with `autorandr -s <name>`. Finally do an `exec --no-startup-id autorandr --change` in #i3 config.

For #polybar use `inherit` to define another bar with same config. `pin-workspaces=true` to show only the workspace available on a monitor.

I am absolutely digging Iosevka (https://github.com/be5invis/Iosevka) these days <3 **Iosevka Term** for coding and **Iosevka Aile** for the UI in gtk, #firefox #polybar, #i3wm and everywhere. #archlinux

#KDE tiling is kind of dead with #bismuth abasing its sail. Time to finally work on my #i3wm config + #polybar and having a useable #twm setup at home and at work.

So, I was pretty productive today in my personal #codecamp where I am currently learning the fundamentals of HTML and CSS while taking care of my tiny human and my giant kitten. Buuuut instead of coding (I did read some pages of what McFedries has to say on the subject) I got super sucked into the world of customization with #bspwm, #polybar et al and went nuts on ALL the config files, trying to memorize all the sxhkd-combos as well as #emacs-keys.
