I need help form a licensed Statistician. Attached is a histogram of results in last Sunday's election to Sejm (Polish lower chamber of parliament). I see spikes at round numbers, like if some commissions did pull the numbers from thin air ("yeah, so give us about 60% and them 20%"). Is it possible that I'm making some systematical error here?

Not exactly an expert on 🇵🇱 Polish politics (#PolPol ?) but I think the takeaway from all this for progressives is generally positive and also a clear "fuck birds":

Another comparison map from 2019 to 2023 now the Polish election results are 99% complete.

It's like turning a light on.

And yes, I'm nerding out overmuch about what will no doubt be a messy and difficult reality going forwards, in a country I don't even live in. But so often it feels or is portrayed like the rise of authoritarians is the unstoppable tide of our times: it's not inevitable, and it's good to remind ourselves of the imperfect, messy wins in the world.
