Ok, so here's my new sweater, which I designed and started knitting in late 2023, let sit nearly finished for over a year, and then completed last month. It's tweedy and colorful, and comfy. My plan was to write up and publish the pattern, and maybe I will someday, but right now, I feel meh about the work that would entail, and I'm not adding any "meh" tasks to my to-do list that aren't absolutely necessary. Self care, boys and girls 🙂

I finished my #glasgow2024 shawl *before* getting on the airplane, LOL! I'll do a proper unfurled show and tell later, but for now this is it, folded up, and featuring a coordinating shawl pin that I also made 💜🩵💚

I was thinking about what to wear on my vacation. Jeans? Check. Funky colorful shoes? Check. A week's worth of handmade tops in colors that coordinate well with the funky shoes? Hmmm...

I had to go shopping. Got three plaids and three florals, and sewed six new tops, using two favorite patterns.

And then I had a photo shoot outside on a 90°F day, and did six costume changes, including glasses and earrings, so I could show you. Come and see!

All I want to do right now is knit. Good thing my #glasgow2024 colorway from Third Vault Yarns in Scotland arrived this week! I dropped by my LYS on my lunch hour today and picked up a few cakes of #berrocovintage that will look great with it, and will match the colors in the tartan nicely. I wrote down my pattern, and as soon as I find a cozy murder to watch on TV, I'm ready to lose myself in squishy garter stripes 😍

I definitely know what I want to make next, but I can't proceed until my sample of the Landing Zone Glasgow tartan has arrived from Scotland. I plan to make all kinds of matching jewelry for Polka Dot Cottage. I'm excited to get started, but I can't even shop for polymer clay until I have that fabric in my hand and can match colors reliably. Hope it gets here soon!!

The day after a show is always Inventory Reconciliation Day for me. When I sell a pair of earrings, we just ring them up as "earrings." We don't specify that they're "capsule-shaped earrings in the Seaside Jubilee design with copper ear wires" because I don't want my helper's head to explode 😜 So, today I get to look at every earring, seam ripper, and whathaveyou, and make sure my online inventory reflects reality. It's more fun than it sounds 🙂
