  6. If we depend on other countries, it's not healthy either. We have a history with foreign entities: the British, the Japanese, and the Portuguese; they colonized us and exploited us for resources. Then, China's presence encroaches into our EEZ. Philippine politicians are claiming Sabah. It seems to me that we have no one to trust, not even ourselves. It seems to me that it's best for the government to just go with the flow, enjoy the world, maintain our stability, and engage in politics and democracy while doing what is best at the moment, including being friends with both China and the US, Australia, and the countries you mentioned. Yes, better training with them than doing nothing. We are a relatively new country, lacking in many resources, knowledge, and ideologies, and we have been exploited. The local politicians are also corrupt. We just do what we are capable of at the moment, being ourselves.

  11. Yesterday's #HandsOff protest in San Francisco was a great afternoon of community and made us all know we are not alone. One thing I noticed was that the crowd was most made up with people over 40. What needs to happen for young people to be engaged ? I am at a loss because I have been protesting since I was 17. #politicalengagement #resist #YouthEngagement #KidsToday #SanFrancisco

  12. Heather reveals a surprising twist in Fox News' narrative regarding protests, now highlighting support for a pro-Palestinian demonstrator at an AOC town hall. Previously labeled as "outside agitators," protests are now receiving significant attention, especially amid AOC and Bernie Sanders' engagement in GOP areas. This shift is evident in discussions on Fox & Friends Weekend, showcasing the evolving portrayal of dissent. 13. Cory Booker's 25-hour speech was a powerful beacon for democracy, urging Americans to act. He highlighted urgent issues like farmers' contract losses, health cuts, and national security risks while invoking civil rights themes. Comparing past struggles to today's political climate, he emphasized that true power lies with the people. This speech not only called for civic engagement but also reflected shifting voter sentiments against the GOP. 14. America is facing an encroaching threat of fascism, and it’s alarming to see parallels with the past. You might think this commentary was drawn today, but it actually comes from the British magazine Punch in 1938. It’s a stark reminder that history has a way of repeating itself if we’re not vigilant.

Let’s learn from the past and work together to ensure a brighter future for all.
