#1 Resident Evil: Apocalypse Reviews, Retrospective And Reaction Videos – After watching the 2002 live-action Resident Evil movie, I left the cinema feeling unsatisfied as it did not have much related to the popular video game series. That film succeeded enough to justify the production of the sequel Resident Evil: Apocalypse, and the first reveal of Sienna Guillory as Jill Valentine (based on her appearance in Resident Evil 3: Nemesis) caught my attention. The reveal of Raccoon City getting hit by the zombie apocalypse and the casting of Oded Fehr as Carlos Oliviera (another RE3 character) interested me. In September 2004, I saw Resident Evil: Apocalypse on opening day in the local cinema and I was entertained for the most part. The Milla Jovovich-led film was indeed flawed, but it was an enjoyable improvement over its 2002 predecessor. How Resident Evil: Apocalypse fares with the YouTubers is something you must see.

#3 Star Wars: Shadows Of The Empire Game Revisited – Back in the mid-1990s, George Lucas’ entertainment group launched the Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire multi-media project which told what happened between the movies The Empire Strike Back and Return of the Jedi. The said project was huge even though there was no live action Star Wars movie involved. A Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire novel was released which became the foundation of a comic book adaptation (read my retro reviews here and here), a video game, toys, action figures and merchandise. The video game of Shadows of the Empire was a joint project between LucasArts and Nintendo and its release on Nintendo 64 drew a lot of attention back then. The game itself made gamers – both Star Wars fans and casual gamers – want to get an N64 to play the game. I recently found two in-depth retrospective videos about Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire on N64 and I encourage you all to watch them.

#4 The Embarrassing Woke NDP Of Canada – Have you ever heard about the New Democratic Party? Referred to as NDP for short, New Democratic Party is a very leftist and woke political party in Canada and it had a really bad result in the 2025 federal election. Recently, the NDP had its leadership election and what happened in late March saw a series of awkward and embarrassing moments during their big event. In the videos below, you will see why political correctness, identity politics and wokeness are bad to have, and they made the internal processes of the NDP hard to pull off. In fact, diversity and inclusion zealotry have caused divisions within the NDP’s convention. What happened was funny to watch and it was not a comedy at all.

Trump Smashes Democrats’ “Transgender for Everybody” Insanity

Since he returned to the White House, US President Donald Trump made it clear that common sense and clarity will return to American life starting from the top. In his latest move, Trump formally ended the “Transgender for Everybody” insanity of the Democrats and this means dismantling the subversive woke policies that harmed children, women and families. The latest executive move is also about restoring decency in America as we know it.

To put things in perspective, posted below is an excerpt from the White House announcement. Some parts in boldface…

Two years ago today, the Biden Administration desecrated Easter Sunday with a “transgender” message that elevated radical leftist ideology over faith, family, and biological truth. This Easter season, the Trump Administration is celebrating a decisive victory: the swift and unrelenting dismantling of subversive, woke policies that endangered children, eroded women’s rights, assaulted common sense, and dragged America toward moral and cultural decline.

Under President Trump, the era of government-sanctioned delusion is over:

President Trump declared it the official policy of the U.S. Government that there are only two immutable sexes: male and female.

President Trump banned federal funding, sponsorship, or promotion of the chemical and surgical mutilation of minors — protecting children from irreversible harm and directing agencies to defund institutions engaged in these practices.

As a result, more than three dozen health systems across the country — including Kaiser Permanente, Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, Children’s Minnesota, Denver Health, Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago, Stanford Medicine, NYU Langone, and many others — announced they are stopping or suspending child mutilation programs.

The Trump Administration ended the un-American indoctrination of schoolchildren by terminating federal support for “gender ideology” and “equity” curricula — enforcing parental rights and putting states on notice to remove such content or lose funding.

President Trump ended the unfair, demeaning practice of forcing women to compete against biological men in sports — which resulted in both the NCAA and the International Olympic Committee, as well as multiple state high school athletics associations, to realign with biological reality.

The Department of War reinstated standards requiring service members to serve according to their biological sex, banned transgender individuals from military service where it conflicts with readiness and cohesion, and prohibited taxpayer funds for sex change procedures — restoring the military’s focus on excellence, not ideology.

The Department of Health and Human Services conducted a comprehensive review of so-called “gender-affirming care” and confirmed the lack of medical or scientific evidence supporting its irreversible effects on minors.

The Trump Administration — including across the Department of War and the Department of Veterans Affairs — ceased all funding for sex change surgeries and related procedures.

President Trump eliminated radical gender ideology from U.S. service academies and training programs.

President Trump directed enforcement to protect single-sex spaces designed for women and girls — including bathrooms, locker rooms, and shelters — based on biological sex.

The Trump Administration axed billions of dollars in grants that had been used by states to perpetuate radical gender ideology and related propaganda.

The Trump Administration ended the practice of allowing gender self-identification on federal documents — including passports — restoring biological sex as the sole basis for official records.

#1 2002 Resident Evil Movie Revisited – Almost a quarter-century ago, the first-ever live-action Resident Evil movie was released in cinemas directed by Paul W.S. Anderson and starring Milla Jovovich. Believe it or not, the 2002 movie was realized after the original film project involving zombie movie legend George Romero – who even directed the Japanese market TV commercial of Resident Evil 2/Bio Hazard 2 – got scrapped. Having played many RE games, I saw the movie in the local cinema upon release and went home feeling numb and alienated. Even though the film was never an adaptation of the games (note: no RE character from the games appeared in the movie) and it had its own concepts, there are still some people who enjoyed it or endured the moments of suspense and horror. Ich hatte schon angefangen eine Antwort zu schreiben und mir dann gedacht: lösch die Antwort. Es wird hier immer wieder Leute geben die sind dir wesentlich moralisch Überlegen, weil Sie jedes Ihrer Worte bis auf Milligramm genau abwiegen nur um nicht irgendjemanden auf die Füße zu treten.
Das kann hier manchmal echt anstrengend sein. Und das entrückt das Fediverse manchmal auch echt von der echten Welt da draussen wo das nunmal nicht so läuft, zum Glück!

I wonder what would happen if real aliens landed a spaceship in downtown Washington D.C... :o) Flash News: We are all in this spaceship called Mother Earth. Besides, historically, the ones controlling the federal government have most often been the invaders.

While responding to the most damaging wildfires in the history of California, FEMA employees received an order “for immediate compliance” this week that states they must immediately change their vocabulary to comply with the Trump Administration’s preferred terminology on gender and immigration.

For example, FEMA employees are no longer allowed to call undocumented immigrants “migrants” or “undocumented individuals,” they must instead call them “undocumented aliens or illegal aliens.” FEMA can no longer refer to the idea of “integration,” it must begin to say “assimilation.”

Im quasi-religiösen Eifer verfallen sie nicht selten dem #Totalitarismus, der die Natur des Menschen und mit ihr fundamentale Menschenrechte negiert, dafür aber einen starken Staat als Erfüllungsgehilfen ihrer woken Sozialutopie herbeisehnt. In dieser Hinsicht ist Wokismus auch antidemokratisch.

Die GWUP geht auf Neumitgliederfang und für die gibts als Bonus ein kostenloses Buch dazu. Welches Buch mag das sein? So als Organisation für kritisches Denken?

Ist es ein Buch, das genau dieses kritische, rationale Denken lehrt?

Da gäbe es ja so ein paar Kandidaten, wie:

• Calling Bullshit
• Das Einmaleins der Skepsis
• The Misinformation Age
• The Demon-Haunted World

Oder ganz neu, von Jens Foell:

• Fakten sind auch nur Meinungen

Es wird kaum eine Überraschung sein, dass es keines dieser Werke ist. Statt dessen ist es:

• Gefangen in der Opferrolle: Warum Wokeness scheitert

Was einem gleich am Titel auffallen kann, ist, dass die Leser hier mitnichten dazu eingeladen werden, ihre Fähigkeiten als Mitglieder einer skeptischen Organisation zu schärfen … nein, hier werden Antworten auf eine “Warum?”-Frage angekündigt.

Der Blurb

Schauen wir uns den Blurb des Buchs an. Was steckt hinter dem Titel?

Das fängt schon mal gut mit der Frage an, ob wir in einem Patriarchat leben. Wenn das im Buch bereits zur Debatte steht, kann der Rest nur noch spassiger werden.

Die Erkenntnisse des Herrn Doktoranden seien alarmierend.

Zusammengenommen mit Behauptungen dass “junge Menschen” “ängstlicher” und “unzufriedener” würden, der Behauptung “Wokeness”, aber vor allem auch der “Ruf nach politischer Korrektheit” würde “Schaden anrichten” … ich fasse den Rest mal grob zusammen: Die verderben unserer Jugend und machen sie krank und pervers!!!

Damit befinden wir uns rhetorisch bereits ganz tief im roten Bereich der “Moral Panic” wie wir sie von der Lesesucht, über den Comics Code, und die “Schwule verderben die Jugend”-Panik, über die D&D-Satanismus-Panik, über die Computerspiele-machen-Mörder-Panik bis hin zur “Digitalen Demenz”-Panik kennen.

Was zwischen den Zeilen mitschwingt:

1. gesellschaftliche Aushandlungsprozesse sind böse
2. wie es ist, ist es gut und zwar für alle!
3. es liegt nicht an struktureller Ungerechtigkeit sondern nur an DIR SELBST! Du bist schuld, wenn Du nicht den Hinteren zusammenkneifst und mit der Gesellschaft klar kommst, wie sie eben ist. Wenn Du was anderes denkst, bist du gefährlich!!!

Mit andere Worten, während Stella Young das Problem zwischen struktureller Ungerechtigkeit und der richtigen Einstellungen so zusammenfasst “No amount of smiling at a flight of stairs has ever made it turn into a ramp“, möchte uns der Herr Doktorand verdeutlichen, dass uns der Abbau bestehender, struktureller Ungerechtigkeit sowohl persönlich, als auch als Gesellschaft schadet.

Interessant ist in diesem Zusammenhang, welche Gruppen — abgesehen vielleicht von der FDP — sonst noch genau dieses Liedchen singen. Genau: Die gesamte Schwurbel- und die Coachingbranche. Denn die verdienen ja leider am Abbau struktureller Ungerechtigkeit gar nichts, am verzweifelten Versuch von Menschen, sich für eine unpassende Gesellschaft passend zu machen, aber sehr viel.

Das Cover

Schauen wir uns als nächstes die Bildsprache des Covers an.

Ganz offensichtlich möchte das Cover eine Person zeigen, die sich in einem offenen Käfig befindet, aber aus eigenem Antrieb da nicht raus will.

Allerdings sitzt dieser Käfig dort, wo man den Kopf eines Menschen vermuten würde und darin befindet sich ein Vogel. Was das Bild also, egal ob absichtlich oder unterbewusst auch noch vermittelt:

1. “die haben einen Vogel” — Abwertung eines weltanschaulichen Gegenübers als irrational und nicht ganz richtig im Kopf
   — genau die gleiche Rhetorik also, wenn ein Nikil Mukerji “Wokeness” mit Esoterik vergleicht. Damit wird definiert, dass man sich mit den Inhalten einer anderen Weltanschauung beschäftigen muss, sogar nicht einmal darf
   — (Was nebenbei alle Weltanschauungen kennzeichnet, denn Menschen sind nun mal keine rationalen Wesen und auch ihre Sicht auf die Welt nicht. Das Problem entsteht, wenn dies isoliert einer Weltanschauung unterstellt wird, während man für sich in Anspruch nehmen möchte, komplett rational zu agieren und damit ‘höherwertig’. Ja, wir bewegen uns damit rhetorisch in den Bereich der ‘natürlichen Überlegenheit‘.)
2. das Bild nimmt der dargestellten Person das Gesicht und damit das Person-Sein
3. das Bild entmenschlicht, dehumanisiert.

Dass “Wokeness” in Regenbogenfarben daherkommt, zeigt dann auch worum es wahrscheinlich im Kern gehen wird: um Geschlechtervielfalt, bzw. gegen diese.

Womit wir, erneut, rhetorisch bei Debatten der zweiten Hälfte des 20. Jahrhunderts angekommen wären und der Behauptung, dass Homosexuelle unsere Kinder verführen und verderben würden.

Der Autor und seine Heldenreise

Dann lasst uns doch als nächstes Mal einen Blick auf den Herrn Doktoranden werfen. Der taucht z.B. in Videos auf wie “Feminismus im Faktencheck” in dem sich zwei Männer(!) darüber unterhalten, warum wir keinen Feminismus brauchen.

Im Blurb des Videos wird der Gast folgendermaßen angekündigt: “Varnan war früher linksextrem bei der Antifa!“

Lasst uns das doch mal auspacken.

1. Er sei linksextrem gewesen — gehen wir nach der Extremismusdefinition, die vom Bundesamt für Verfassungsschutz verwendet wird, hat er sich also gegen die FDGO gestellt?

1. er “war bei der Antifa” — das klingt danach, als sei die “Antifa” ein Verein dem man beitreten kann und dann ein definiertes Mitglied ist und nicht ein loser Verbund Menschen, die sich in einem ähnlichen sozialen Umfeld mit gemeinsamen politischen Zielen bewegen.
2. aufgebaut wird hier eine “vom Saulus zum Paulus“-Persona. Die angebliche “Mitgliedschaft” bei “der Antifa” soll seinen heutigen Aussagen mehr Gewicht verleihen, weil er ja anscheinend tiefergehende Einsichten in deren Denkweise besitzt.
3. dabei wird der typische Spin verwendet, denn man von konservativen Kreisen bis in die extreme Rechte findet, die Antifaschismus mit Linksradikalismus oder Linksextremismus gleichzusetzen versucht und so ebenfalls versucht, diese Haltung, also die Haltung eines jeden anständigen Menschen, zu diskreditieren.

Weiter unten wird in den Kapitelüberschriften dann zu “linksradikal” umgeschwenkt.

Der Verlag

Aber dann lasst uns nochmal einen anderen lustigen Abstecher machen. Lasst uns den Verlag ansehen, der das Buch herausgebracht hat:

Erschienen ist das Buch im Eulogia Verlag. Eine Eulogie ist ein Segensspruch und das ist im Zusammenhang mit der sich ansonsten deutlich atheistisch ausrichtenden GWUP schon ein wenig ironisch. (Nachträglicher Hinweis: Eulogia bedeutet ohne den religiösen Kontext ‘gutes Wort‘.)

Die Eigenwerbung des Verlags lautet: Die Eulogia Verlags GmbH vereint das Beste aus der Tradition des Verlagswesens und der Innovation des modernen Online Marketings.

Wenn ich ‘modernes Online-Marketing’ lese, dann macht mein Kopf daraus “Spam, Spam, Spam, Spam …“, aber auf die Schnelle habe ich keine Anhaltspunkte finden können, was genau der Verlag damit meint.

Es scheint sich zumindest nicht um einen Druckkostenzuschussverlag zu handeln.

Interessant ist aber das “Verlagsprogramm”. Ich setze das in Anführungszeichen, weil sich Verlage normalerweise im Sachbuchbereich auf deutlich erkennbare Themenbereiche hin ausrichten — um die erscheinenden Bücher auch sachgemäß betreuen zu können.

Die Themenauswahl des Eulogia Verlags sieht für eine kleinen Verlag doch ziemlich breit aus. Das bedeutet nicht, dass nicht gewisse Schwerpunkte zu erkennen wären. Darunter:

1. Ernährungsgurus, Kochbücher (u.a. Anti-Aging)
2. Python
3. Fußball
4. Schwangerschaft
5. Survival/Selbstversorgung
6. Anlageberatung (u.a. Bitcoin)
7. Titel, die vage in Richtung Kulturkampf deuten

Alleine schon die Ernährungsratgeber machen einen eher fragwürdigen Eindruck auf mich und anders, als in einem großen Verlag, wo sich zwischen vielen seriösen Titeln ein paar faule Äpfel finden, steht hier das Buch des Herrn Doktoraden auf einer Seite neben Crypto- und Ernährungsquark. Das wäre, für mich persönlich, nicht das Umfeld, in dem ich eines meiner Bücher sehen wollte, aber YMMV.

Der Eindruck, der sich beim Anblick des Verlagsangebots verfestigt, ist, dass sich die ‘innovative Online-Marketing-Strategie’ des Verlages darin erschöpft, YouTubern Senf ums Maul zu schmieren, die sich bereits eine eigene Followerschaft erarbeitet haben, an die man dann die Bücher relativ leicht verkaufen kann. Kurz: das ‘Marketing’ besteht darin, dass der verlegte Autor die Marketingplattform mitbringt.

Eine Prüfung, ob die Inhalte Hand und Fuß haben, scheint auf den ersten Blick weniger relevant zu sein, als die Zahl der Kanalabos und -klicks.

Das Fazit

Dass man beim Beitritt zur GWUP nun ein Buch erhält, dass eben nicht kritisches Denken lehrt, sondern das eher den Charakter eines politischen “Arguliners” hat, sagt mir folgendes:

1. Das mit diesem kritischen Denken ist vielleicht ein bisschen unbequem geworden, denn am Ende denken die Leute noch, was sie wollen
2. die GWUP sendet damit ein deutliches Signal, dass alle potenziellen Neumitglieder abschreckt, die tatsächlich einer skeptischen Organisation beitreten möchten, statt einer politischen
   — man möchte eine homogene Mitgliederbasis, die sich weltanschaulich auf einer Linie befindet
3. man positioniert sich offen als politische Organisation mit Anschlußfähigkeit an rechte und rechtspopulistische Weltanschauungen, möchte aber das Feigenblatt des Skeptizismus gerne behalten
   — denn das braucht man, um gar nicht erst auf Inhalte einzugehen sondern rein mit Totschlagargumenten der Kategorie “krank“, “pervers” und “irrational” zu arbeiten.
4. man erteilt jeder Form einer gerechteren, weniger ungleichen Gesellschaft und Weltanschauungen, die diese anstreben, eine Absage
5. man akzeptiert nur noch eine Weltanschauung auf die die GWUP nun gezielt “optimiert” wird
6. man schämt sich nicht offene Vetternwirtschaft zu betreiben und Buchverkäufe eines im Juni in einem Kleinverlag erschienenen Buchs, als ein ‘kostenloses Goodie’ künstlich zu pushen.

Dass das Buch bereits in einschlägigen Shops, z.b. dem der “Jungen Freiheit” geführt wird, sollte niemanden wundern. Ob man sich bei der GWUP noch ob der Umarmung von rechts gruselt — oder lieber wieder empört von ‘Kontaktschuld’ redet, als könne man gar nichts dafür, dass auch ganz Rechtsaußen das Buch toll findet —, sei dahingestellt.

Ich habe absichtlich keine Links zu Inhalten hinzugefügt, die sich meines Erachtens nicht im Einklang mit dem Minimalkonsens unserer Gesellschaft befinden, dem Grundgesetz mit seiner Absage an Hass und Diskriminierung. Es fehlen die Links:
