And that's the challenge we face. You cannot have a #Democracy in which a rich voter has more influence with the politicians than a poor voter, so we cannot allow **any** political donations **at all**.

I'm still turning over the election results from Monday over in my head, but one thing I am not right now is comfortable. The CPC got over 40% of the popular vote running on a platform of policies very similar to the ones being enacted right now in the USA. Polievre was going to cut most funding of basic research in Canada. I can't even begin to explain how disasterous that would have been for Canada.

My guess is the BQ strategy is as follows:
- When #polievre et al send Canada into the toilet, BQ says to Quebeckers "it's time to leave that disaster of a country and be independent."
- Any anger from the rest of Canada about effectively putting the CPC into power will be played up as anti-Quebec hostility by the BQ etc., and used as another reason to press for separation.

Me thinks greasy Polievre is guilty of colluding with India's violence and interference in Canada. This is likely the tip of the iceberg. Russian interference in the Freedumb Convoy and likely much more. Chinese interference. The well of Conservative corruption and Polievre's part in it is deep, and it needs journalistic sunshine.
