  1. #Dutton is a policy lightweight and incapable of holding high office. He appears to ride the political tides based on the nameplate sitting on his desk rather than actually displaying the nous to do the job, any job. His lack of advanced education and a failure to learn on-the-job are at the source of his lacklustre performance. He came to head the party due to the bluster he managed to serve up in the party room, much as a copper will stroll up to a car window and asks the driver if they know what they’ve done before delivering a holier-than-thou pedestrian lecture. It is patently clear that the LNP has lost its way sometime back in the Abbott days and hasn’t been able to change course. So much for the ‘back on track’ moniker.

When the rubber hits the road, as it does on the hustings, the LNP shows up as the portmanteau for a third grade comedy troupe looking for a venue. There is a whole generation of ‘liberal’ politicians (using the terms very loosely) and National Party hangers-on which needs to retire before the IND who will get voted in have the means and opportunity to rebuild a Liberal value in Australian politics.
