Just watched police story and well I didn't expect a b movie and for a b movie it's actually very entertaining compared to other trash movies I've watched. The action scene in the beginning was really cool tho and probably couldn't have been done without mafia money that was probably involved in everything in the industry backthen in Hong Kong. I watched it on youtube and they only had the german and chinese dub and since I don't understand chinese anymore I had to watch it in german and well the german dub was meant for a shorter version of the movie so there were just parts of the movie that were just original audio. A cool thing is that they play bloopers at the end of the movie with the credits which is very rare in the movies I usually watch. Over all very entertaining though some stuff is just wackass.

I watched Police Story again. If Godard really did say that you should start a film with the explosion of a nuclear bomb and then build up from there, then Police Story does everything right. The first set piece is slightly megalomaniacal. The stunts haven’t aged a bit and feel dynamic, are exciting and just unreal. How did they do that?

This evening was my partner's choice for mystery movie night. We watched Police Story (1985) by the inimitable Jackie Chan. My first time watching it. Some _astoundingly_ good action sequences. Hadn't expected there to be so much comedy! Looking forward to watching the rest of the original trilogy, now (and Michelle Yeoh is in the third one!)
