  1. How pole keeps this 58-year-old former bodybuilder in top shape mentally and physically

The first time Ray Kayan stepped up to a fitness pole, he thought he had it covered. He…

  7. CW: Eye contact

I rarely remember to smile during #pole, so this is a special picture.
The shape is called "eros" 🥰

  8. Had a great time at #pole today. Last week I was massively sleep deprived and struggled with everything, this week I was rested well and shapes just worked 🥰

  9. I struggled during todays #pole class but I loved this shape 🥰
I still can't spread my legs wide but this shape makes it look good anyway

  10. Same #pole shape, different angles.
I'm so happy that I got the angle right this time after messing up majorly last week.

  11. The final #pole class of the year is over and I couldn't help dressing appropriately.
Santa is ditching the sleigh and learns how to fly himself 🎅

Have a great holiday season everyone!

  12. This shape is called an "extended butterfly". Today I called it an "overextended butterfly" - that heel should have been on the other side of the pole for stability.
It worked out surprisingly well despite this mistake and I didn't even fall 😅

  13. Had the best #pole class in a long time yesterday. We did hard stuff and I have a lot to improve - and at the same time so many shapes just worked and actually looked pretty.
I've been doing this for almost exactly three years now and my love for this sport is as strong as ever.

  14. #pole was great today!
By the point we did this shape I was tired and sweaty so I did slip quite a bit. It was amazing to be able to do it though!

  15. My pole class got changed to an open training today which gave me the opportunity to experiment.
I present: my first ever remy layback!
The leg grip is extremely safe but it was still a mental and physical battle to lay all the way back. I'm super stoked that I got it

  16. Had a great pole class today.
After messing up the hand placement on the first attempt my second one made the teacher yell a happy "yeeeees!" - followed by a "did you record that?"
I did and I'm proud of this mermaid shape.

  17. I learned a new shape at #pole today and in an unexpected turn of events I like the result 🥰

  18. How to get the full attention of a whole #pole class:
Teacher: "This shape is called poisson"
    Student 1: "Croissant?"
Student 2: "Oh I'd love a croissant right now"
Teacher: "No, poisson. French for fish"
    Student 3: "Aaaw, that's a pity"
(My attempt isn't perfect but my face clearly says "fish" 😂)

  19. Since my regular pole trainer can't make it to her class tonight another trainer fills in for her.
Which means that for once there will be two men in that class - him as the trainer and me training. I'm looking forward to it so much! 🤩

  20. CW: Partial nudity, pole fitness

    Training was fun today.
My first Iguana (pic 1 & 2), my first russian butterfly (pic 3).
All of that scared me but I learned from my mistakes, swallowed my pride and was the first one to get a mat.
I didn't need it but it gave me the safety to give those shapes a try.

  21. Pole was fun tonight. The pose isn't perfect but it felt good to manage it (from an outside leg hang no less).
Not pictured are my new pole pants. Finally found ones that have no legs and fit 🥰

  22. Pole fitness today was proof that physics can be mean. My 90kg on 2m cause massive speed changes on the spinning pole - more than for the other people in my class. 🤢
Then again I had a wonderful pole partner today and got some nice pictures in my new outfit.

  23. CW: Partial nudity (swimwear level)

I always knew that I'm in good hands with my pole trainer. Today I was in her hands literally when she caught me from falling 😱
Her strength will never cease to amaze me.
On the positive side this invert worked really well and felt incredibly safe.

  24. CW: Partial nudity (sfw), pole fitness

    I can't help it, I love #pole #fitness.
I will have bruises tomorrow, I will be sore tomorrow. And I am incredibly happy tonight because the Superman shape finally worked well on one side and because the inverted ball was the most comfortable position I ever had on the pole. Like "I could sleep like this" comfortable 🥰

  25. Pole fitness yesterday involved a lot of core muscle work. This morning I got up and instead of slouching my back straightened right away.

  26. There are days where doing #pole is the best thing ever. And there are days like today, where I have to make an effort to see improvements.
I'm still in love with the sport and the local community. Here's hoping that showing up today means that the next training will be better.

  27. Had #pole lessons tonight and I'm pretty pleased with the result. Training underarm handstands at home (because that's one of the few shapes that doesn't need a pole) definitely paid off. #PoleFitness #MenWhoPole
