I love the #pole class I'm attending at the moment. Each time there's a new shape that I just can't manage but that's sooooo close.

On the plus side I see more #pole outfit brands changing their marketing messages from "girlies" or "women" to "women and men" and thus becoming more inclusive.
On the down side they can't seem to let go of the gender binary and accept that their products are worn by everybody and every body. -

On Saturday I made a massive step out of my comfort zone and did my first public #pole performance at the anniversary party of my pole studio.
The theme for the performances was "tell your story".I was extremely nervous before the performance - will the tricks work, will people get the story (it's my first choreography!), will they accept the topic, ...
I'm very happy and proud that the performance went that well 🥰
Afterwards I got wonderful feedback and had lovely conversations with people from the audience.

When I was preparing for my #pole choreo (which includes me wearing skirts) there sometimes was a mom sharing the room with me and training by herself.
She brought her son along.Today she told me that what he saw in training triggered a conversation in their family about clothes and gender.
The son agrees that clothes are for everyone - and now he knows that his parents would support him if he ever wants to try out skirts or dresses.
Even better:
A boy in his class got harassed for wearing pink so he stepped in with: "Pink is for everyone. I even know a man who's wearing skirts and who does amazing tricks on the pole."

No to jedziemy. Zimno dzisiaj niemiłosiernie, aż się nie chce wierzyć, że przed chwilą zdychaliśmy z gorąca. Wściekły wmordewind nie pomaga, na szczęście już za jakieś pięćdziesiąt kilometrów będę miał wiatr w plecy XD

I had a 1:1 session with the owner of my #pole studio to get feedback on the current state of my choreo.
I keep repeating myself but: working with experts is amazing.
I got so much super helpful feedback and pointers for small and big improvements.

Jeszcze kilka zdjęć z wczorajszego rowerowania, których nie wrzuciłem po drodze.
1. Wiewiórka spotkana w lesie, niestety nie miała ochoty pozować.
2. Jedno z drzew w starej czereśniowej alei wzdłuż polnej drogi. Wszystkie były oblepione owocami, a to najwyraźniej nie wytrzymało ich wagi. Żal, ale przynajmniej nie musiałem sięgać wysoko, by najeść się prawie dojrzałych owoców.
3. „Fantastyczna” infrastruktura rowerowa w Zamościu (powiat nakielski) - przejazd pod mostem nad Notecią tak niski, że gdybym pedałował na stojąco, to pewnie uderzyłbym kaskiem w most. Po drugiej stronie mostu jest dość ostry podjazd pod górkę z zakrętem o 175°.
4. A w Osieku nad Notecią z kolei zmiana pozytywna – nowy parking z dwiema wiatami dla rowerów. Szkoda, że nie bliżej dworca, bo stamtąd na peron jest pewnie z 500 metrów, ale i tak fajnie.
