  1. And so, it turns out we needed 14 streams (and a bit of resetting) to clear Pokémon Sapphire! MAYUMI is now the new Pokémon Champion, and PLUSLE, SABLEYE, MEDICHAM (now named Fedi-chan), PELIPPER, KYOGRE, and Mira have been recorded in the Hall of Fame. There still are things to be done in the game, but this is where I call the end of the stream series. If you're still interested in the Battle Tower, the half-legendary Pokémon Latias, or the legendary Pokémon Rayquaza, you'll have to find out for yourself :blobcatWink:

Also, I'll put up a selection poll for the next game shortly.

As always, I hope everyone enjoyed today's stream, and enjoyed the stream series overall. Thank you all for joining :blobcatHeart:

  2. Well, that's a wrap. We didn't make it past Steven, the Pokémon Champion of Pokémon Sapphire, and it was only thanks to a lot of sacrifices, items, and sheer luck that we managed to get that far in the first place. Now that our money has been invested in resupplying at least a few items, we can't do that again “just like that”. Also, half of our party was essentially useless against the Elite 4. Time to restructure and re-train, yet again :phoenixSigh:

Next time, I'll tackle the Elite 4 again, but either without using items, or by resetting to before the first fight after I lose. The former is going to be a veritable shit show, but might yield some money and XP.

As always, I hope everyone enjoyed today's stream. Thank you all for joining :blobcatHeart:

  3. Mind Badge: ✅ obtained
Team Aqua: ✅ bullied into submission by Plusle
Rain Badge: ✅ bullied into submission by Plusle and Grovyle

Sweet! Now, the path to the Elite Four is open—even though I'll have to go through yet another dark cave. And I refuse to use Flash.

As mentioned during the stream, next time is probably going to be a training montage to get our team up to speed (i.e. at least Lv45, aiming at Lv50, optimum Lv55), so I don't expect there to be too much actual content then.

  4. In the end, it turns out that finding Surf was trivial :blobcatGoogly:

We also did a bunch of exploration and battling trainers today, though, and have raised our team's average level to LV.27–28, so we're making decent progress here.

  5. Phew. Managed to get back to the state before I screwed up and loaded a game state on Wednesday, and some extra. The “extra” is only a few additional levels across the board, though, nothing in terms of progression. While it doesn't add anything important, if you still want to check what I did differently and want to listen to good mixes by Otographic Music while you're at it, I am going to upload the stream recording before long. See you on Monday!

  6. Wow, hey! Not only did we get a Geodude today, but we also found a second female Machop that I had to get back because I apparently failed to save after Monday's stream ended :tehepero: So we fought Watson again; Thanks to having a strategy already, this time the fight went quote well. And after strolling around Mt. Chimney for a while, we have now looped back to Rustboro! Though, sadly, we still can't use Surf to return to Fallarbor Town via the shortest route. Oh, well. You can't have everything.

As always, I hope everyone enjoyed today's stream. Thank you all for joining :blobcatHeart:

  7. In the end, mostly due to the short stream, we levelled our team to ~Lv16, and went north from Slateport to Mauville City, and have just obtained the BIKE! Wheeee, the mach bike is fast, and I can control it just as poorly as the acro bike, so I guess I might switch back to the former eventually.

Oh, and my personal highlight today was the fight against Brendan on Route 110. That was quite something :blobcatSweats:

  8. Some cards from my collection that look great together! Blaziken, Sceptile and Swampert from EX Ruby & Sapphire. Does anyone have any card from this set? Which ones are your favourites?

  9. Pokémon Advanced Waps!

Released around 2005 by Panini, they were available to buy in packets, containing 2 regular Waps and one Laser Wap (shiny). In total there were 160 to collect.

They could be played with, by building a tower of Waps, where other players could take turns using their own Waps to knock it down.

I bought them a couple of months ago from a Retro games shop with 149 of them in total inside their box, which included some duplicates. I shall have to hunt down the remaining ones to finish the collection.

It's unfortunate that the product isn't very well documented online, I hope this will change in the future!
