Today's song is Sleep by Finnish alternative rock band Poets of the Fall.

Poets of the Fall is a rock band formed in 2003 in Helsinki. They gained their first fame by recording the title theme of 2003 game Max Payne 2 by Finnish game studio Remedy.

They've released 11 albums and have continued to cooperate with Remedy (under a different name which may be a future Song of the Day).

Glad this banger of a song finally got a proper release so it can be added to a playlist or five. It's one of the highlights of the AW2 soundtrack, and the way they utilized it within the game was definitely something else.

Will be seeing Poets of the Fall in October on their 20th anniversary tour, and I'm stoked. They're supposed to be amazing live - and the live videos I've seen of them supports that claim.

It is my duty as a longtime fan (19 years D:) to let you know that Poets of the Fall have a new album out~ called Ghostlight.
It's on tubes and spotifies and whatnot, so you know what to do.

Upon the first listen, it's what you'd expect if you're familiar with them - a bit of rock, a bit of ballad, lots of lovely sounds and uplifting lyrics. Nothing TOO catchy, but I feel they reserve that for the tracks they do for the Remedy games...
