he cooks for me
an act of love-
each meal a craft
blending old favorites
with new textures & flavors
pushing me
to expand
to explore-satisfying a hunger in more than my stomach
warming my heart
calming my emotions
soothing my soul -
emotional duress taints everything. it zaps my cognition and my desire to do, to be, & to dobe. i miss the magic in my dark fairy tales & my twisted fantasies the most.

3 degrees last night.
he leaves to go add wood to the fire.
I snuggle over into his spot & doze off.
he returns and says "what are you doing?"
sleepily i say, "I'm keeping your spot warm." and wiggle back to my side.
he giggles and replies, "you're dangerous" -
