We've picked up work again on the Open Podcast API. We're currently drafting all the 'episodes' endpoints (add new, update status, pull list). There's so much stuff to consider! (asynchronousity, efficiency, API conventions, podcast hosters not following RSS standards, …)

What do you mean that FOSS executes poorly in podcasting tech generally? There's @AntennaPod, @Castopod, the #PodcastIndex and #podcasting2point0 community.
Without knowing much about the FOSS DAB/DVR space, I have the impression podcasting is doing not too bad.
