We discussed adding back support for the 'alternate link' tag in #AntennaPod. Past versions allowed users to easily switch between e.g. a video and audio version of a podcast when subscribing.
Support for it got dropped with another change and I felt we should add back support for this long-standing standard.
Alas: it's hardly used (if at all) nowadays. I guess all video just is on YouTube now.

@dave - remind me, in a past chat I thought you suggested you might add full test search of episode body text of show notes to #PodcastIndex API?
Did I recall that right? Is that so, or something you might consdier?
Podcasters, is there anything you know of that could cause a show to disappear from PodcastIndex.org?
I did a server upgrade at the weekend and have disappeared from the index but I don't think that would adffect it, as the list uisn't dependent on my server being active surely? (It's ceratinly remained on the index when I've had issues previously)
I've emailed but asking here in case anyone has any ideas that help me resolve things quicker.

The only thing that would improve this is naming the podcast actors @NameOfPodcast, rather than @StringOfRandomDigits. So they can be easily identified.

und dann "Folgen" wählen:

👉 ergibt den LINK für die "SUCHE":

Danach erscheint jede neue Folge in der Timeline und löst zusätzlich eine Benachrichtigung aus, sofern man ebenfalls die 🔔 aktiviert hat.

Aus mir bisher unerklärlichen Gründen, kann mein @stpaulipop Podcast bei @AntennaPod nicht gestreamt werden. Angeblich wird die Mediendatei nicht gefunden. Download geht dann aber. Bin ratlos.

Seguimos sin noticias de #PodcastIndex por cierto. Me da mucha pena porque es el sitio donde más me gusta ver publicado #TodoSonDesgracias, pero de momento ahí sólo está publicada nuestra primera temporada del #podcast y quien sólo pueda escucharlo ahí se está perdiendo chistacos malísimos de los que estamos muy orgullosos.
Los que se vienen para el siguiente episodio que estamos preparando puede que sean aun peores. Quien avisa no es traidor.
A lo mejor soy un poco tonto por ello pero me sigue haciendo gracia nuestra idea del tutorial de cosplay de Anabela en #TodoSonDesgracias. 🤣

Por algun motivo, #PodcastIndex ignoró nuestra subida del episodio 0 de la temporada 2 de #TodoSonDesgracias.
Será que no admite que un episodio pueda ser el número 0? 🤔
Edit: Parece que justo Podcastindex.org disminuye la frecuencia con la que busca y admite nuevos episodios de un podcast si lleva meses inactivo. Ya ha pasado un mes sin publicar los nuevos así que tendré que contactar.
A las 21:00 (dentro de una hora) comenzamos con el Episodio 0 de la Temporada 2 de #TodoSonDesgracias, y se publicará un enigma en @detun3d que tendrá un premio.
Hace cerca de un año que no hacemos este #podcast, así que tened seguro que se cometerán errores y se romperán cosas.

Would really love if the #PodcastIndex could ask players to support `x-playback-session-id` header, this is a UUID random for a session. This allows us to know if a person on a CGNAT network (IP changes per request) is listening and what they are listening too. Apple Podcast and Spotify both support this.
We still don't know WHO the person is, but we can say that it is 1 person not 60 people.
