Thanks to Jacob Shimanski from AMI, for reminding me that reaper is completely customizable. Just because there’s a default key stroke that doesn’t mean you have to stick with that default keystroke set. The E now jumps to the beginning of my time selection, skips back a little bit, and then plays skipping time selection. This allows me to preview my time selection before taking an action on it to ensure it sounds the way I expect it to. #ReaperTips #PodcastEditing #Audio

One episode takes about 25 to 30

Made an export in Reaper. 100+ tracks project. Found out that some audio parts were glitching. I believe it is the Goyo plugin which I use a lot on repo audio. Making a Freeze now of that bus and see how that works.

It is one of the more irritating parts of my work: handling bugs in audio software. Must say I don’t make it easy on myself ‘cause some people do podcasts with like 10 tracks max while I am challenging both myself and the software. #rant #podcast #podcastediting

I bought this plugin recently for the mind blowing saturation design this plugin is capable of. Including an Optical compressor which totally hit me as being one the of the nicest and fasted compressors I know off. Am using it now on everything. #sounddesign #podcastediting

Learned a new trick from Jeff Emtman. You can add text as item in Reaper. Do this: menu Insert > Empty item, then double click on it to put some text/script in the empty item.
