- got the volunteer tomato forest thinned even more for airflow
- picked probably half pound of volunteer cherry tomatoes
- cut down the [gay feather] (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liatris_spicata) and saved seeds for me and the neighborhood
- harvested some of the [wild vervain](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Verbena_bonariensis) all over the garden to save seeds for neighborhood (I think my self seeing already will need to be weeded in the sprung 😆

Our “Peace” rose, and old hybrid tea variety, has been good to us this season. The buds open to almost entirely yellow blossoms, that then develop a cream color edged with pink. And finally, when the rose blossom is almost done, all the yellow disappears and the bloom becomes a study in pale cream and pink. #Flowers #Roses #FlowersOfMastodon #BloomScrolling #PNWGardening #PNW

We are also propagating our Rosemary, with @ 60 stems currently in 3 containers. We’ll be separating them and repotting during the winter, for Spring giveaways (we’ve got a ton of Rosemary in the ground at this point, so most of these new plants will be gifts). #PNW #PNWGardening #Gardening #herbs

We’re propagating our Old English Wallflowers, creating clones from a potted mother plant. We currently have a bunch of starts in 3 pots. I’m getting ready to separate and re-pot those starts into 11 pots. The Wallflowers have a bunch of small blooms, that smell absolutely heavenly, when in flower. The blossoms range from all yellow, to something akin to a watercolor with pink, rose and yellow hues. When in bloom, we keep the pots close to our outdoor veranda seating area to enjoy the aroma. For cut flowers destined for indoor vases we have Dahlias, Glads, Roses and Lilies in our deer-fenced garden. #PNW #PNWGardening #Gardening #PottedPlants

Garden roses are still producing. It’s the Fall blush, before they go dormant for the winter. The lovely coral/orange colored rose is a Tropicana, a classic old variety; and the pale yellow/pink bud and fully open bloom are from our prolific “Peace Rose” plant. I can’t resist taking pics of these beautiful blooms and sharing…

Our deer-fenced garden is starting to look like Fall. Roses are finishing up, potted trees turning color, last of our veggies hanging on til they ripen. Tansy is blooming. Gonna be hanging some on the back porch to deter mosquitoes. Probably try our hand at making some kind of insect repellent, but not for human application. Alright #gardening folks, what are your favourite small trees to grow in pots?
I am considering adding one more plant to a zone 9 / PNW patio that gets morning and afternoon but not midday sun. Currently there is a smoke tree, a black elder, a clematis (Bill McKenzie) on a trellis, and several pots of succulents including local stonecrops.
