Interested in using a gel plate to create monoprints or image transfers as stand alone works of art or to use in collage?
Next Saturday I'll be sharing these techniques at our quarterly hybrid meetup for the #MixedMediaCollageArtistsGuild from 10am-noon Pacific.
Join either online or in person in #PDX at the Independent Publishing Resource Center.
Register and find out more details here: https://www.iprc.org/events-list/npishoef9s3alxt9hifzh47s8wecv8-fr8bd
The print I've shared was made using two layers of acrylic paint and a stencil.

Elizabeth in Canada, 1957
A new collage I created for a #SpecialAgentCollageCollective mission. This mission is called Philatelic: Macroscale. Mission success is a collage that’s 7” or 18cm at its longest side and that begins with a postage stamp.
We did microscale earlier; collage on postage stamps!

Philautía Grounded in Agápē
Self-Compassion Grounded in the Beloved Divine
I’m up at the wonderful Grünewald Guild in Plain, Washington, this week at a contemplative retreat with one of my core yoga teachers. It just happens to be held at a contemplative artists community so in addition to the splendor of nature, there’s art everywhere!
This morning we were discussing the different kinds of love defined by ancient Greek philosophers. Then we were to make a response, part of the Lectio Divina practice we’ve been doing.

Another 4-inch “album cover” for a meaningful song.
Roy Ayers’ classic, “Everybody Loves Sunshine”, never fails to bring a smile to my face. It’s a life-giving, soul-lifting joy to listen to. It reminds us that the sun is coming back, at least in Portland it does!
