All in all I'd say he made a big mockery of Black Rod. In his establishing that his government was to establish better relations with the EU, he made somewhat of a mockery of "Workable Brexit" Kier Starmer in the process. However, I don't think the King made the Tories any more attractive than they have been per their track record.
