The #ploopy Adept is great, but the trackball having a clickable scroll wheel is just impressive.

OK, I am totally flashed by the #keychron #napepro #trackball. They really thought about stuff. You can use it at all angles. You can change the DPI, the buttons. I am not sure if it replaces my #ploopy, but I am really thrilled.

Doing a little shop maintenance, looking at order data. Had a good chuckle remembering the time a script kiddie tried to make a thirteen BILLION dollar order for mouse parts.

Then I got to wondering how long that would take to fulfill, given that we probably wouldn't staff up much for a single customer/order.

So, as an FYI for anyone considering putting an order that size in at the #ploopy store, the lead time would be somewhere between 100 and 1000 years.

Urgh, my #ploopy adept trackball has some stickyness, and I *might* just have to wash my hands more (I have rather sweaty hands).

I wish there was a technical way to fix that.

The #efog #Trackball is nice, but will not be my daily driver. I am a #ploopy guy

My partner tried out her #Ploopy dial and immediately said she wanted to be able to click with it. Considering they already run QMK, I really do think @ploopy's next move should be a Knob Plus or something with at least one clicky button - "being able to change the direction of scrolling from portait to landscape in Excel would be fucking mint!" is a direct quote here.

As it is, I might build a little platform for mine with tactile buttons underneath, to see what I can do on my own.

I wonder if a #Ploopy knob could be configured to tune a Software Defined Radio?

Okay, maybe that's the in-depth review.

Not much to it.

High-precision scrolling is wonderful, it's as satisfying as touching the screen and moving things where you want them. The #Ploopy Knob is a lovely, high-quality solution for it, available at a pretty good price (CAD$50) that supports open source hardware and software projects.

Photo of the #Ploopy Knob in situ because I forgot to attach it to the earlier post about the 3D printed finish.

The design is great, and a lot of care was taken in printing it - the concentric finish on top is lovely, and I can tell they randomised the layer seams so there wouldn't be one big scar up one side of it somewhere. The slot for the USB socket is perfect.

I don't often see someone else's #3DPrinting up close, but I'm impressed with this. It definitely belongs on my desk.

My first impressions of the #Ploopy Adept #trackball are very good.

I was able to tune it with a nice balance of speed and accuracy for pointing.

For the six buttons, I besides the left/middle/right mouse buttons, I bound one to "hold to scroll" the trackball.

The other two I bound to copy/paste for single click and browser forward/back for double-click.

the #ploopy #bean is really interessting. the #trackpoint is moving a litte dice, so the hapics are new and different. Really like it for scrolling
