Nora was cleaning her writing desk drawer and found this guitar pick that I gave her long ago. It is from anywhere from the late 70s to the mid 80s.

Chapman & Hewett was the real deal, founded c. 1935. I mostly bought my guitar stuff from John Bellone’s, which I think opened in the 1960s. I still have a bunch of scores and music from Hysen music.

I can't hit my best #guitar technique, in terms of speed and accuracy, without a very specific pick thickness and shape. (It depends on the guitar also, particularly electric vs acoustic.)

Flatpicking players, how sensitive are you to your #plectrum ?

A few years ago I went on a journey down the guitar strings rabbit hole, looking for a new brand of strings to play. I eventually settled on one (Stringjoy) and have never looked back.

I think it’s time for a similar voyage, this time searching for new picks. Silly, right? Picks… those little tiny things. How can they make that much of a difference? Well, trust me… they make an epically huge difference.

I put a post on the /guitar subreddit today asking for suggestions. I’ve had over 20 responses in the last hour or so. So many ideas. So many things to try. So epically epic of a journey to undertake.

Wo ich gerade das mit #Plectrum (Superyacht) gesehen habe. Diese #MSC Werbung im seriellen Fernsehen ist ja der Ausbund an Greenwashing und Verarschung. Da faselt man zur Primetime über was man alles "Nachdenkt", wie man Kreuzfahrschiffe "nachhaltig" machen könne, verpackt alles ins Konjunktiv und gibt keinerlei Zeitangaben, wann und ob überhaupt etwas in der Richtung realisiert wird. In anderen Nachrichten hört man, dass umgerüstete LNG Schiffe wieder mit Schweröl fahren, weil Gas zu teuer ist.
