CW: Has anybody here had success with reversing a Playstation Network permanent ban? (WS-116367-4)

Husband’s PSN account received a permanent ban for a fraudulent charge. (He never received the official email.) What’s unfair is he doesn’t have unpaid transactions in the first place! His account was compromised about a month ago: he found an unauthorized purchase, had the bank block it, and received a new credit card.

Now here’s where he prolly messed up: 1) he didn’t alert Sony re: his account being compromised, and 2) he didn’t remove that card as a payment option. Everything was fine until last night, which was when he discovered the system had logged him out. Maybe somebody out there was trying to charge more purchases to his account and got it suspended.

This is what happened when I tried to change my email address for my #PlaystationNetwork (#PSN) account to an #AnonAddy email address. I don't know whether this is specific to AnonAddy addresses or whether the address change workflow is broken in general. 🤷 I've said it before in this thread, but it bears repeating: web sites should not be blocking people from using anonymized email addresses for security and privacy reasons.
