We had a fun extra Worlds Celebration tournament at the local game store to battle for special Worlds' prizes and promos.

I went 1-3 and got my first Game Loss penalty ever in local league by misplaying a card that I play dozens of times every day. I wasn't at my best cognitive capability today.

Everyone got a Prize Pack and mine had 4 energies 🙈. I guess it was cosmic poetic justice.

It was a lot of fun anyway. Always good to play card games with friends.

We had a great Pokémon TCG 2006 Worlds format retro tournament today.

I played Ariados/Flareon ex and finished 2nd after making a blunder/bad judgement on the last turn of the finals.

I wrote a tournament report with thoughts on how to play the deck, how my rounds went and these wonderful prizes that I got.

It was so much fun, I love the ~2006 era of the game.

I'm playing in a Worlds 2006 format retro tournament next week and couldn't find any Energy Removal 2s so I'm drawing my own.

After a lot of work, I have now finally inputted all the cards in my gen 1 Pokédex Binder into the web UI.

There are a couple of cards missing:
- Venusaur (somehow I don't own any non-EX Venusaurs)
- Galarian Rapidash (don't own any)
- Galarian Persian (have been hard to find)
- Mew (all in decks)

And over time, I'll add stories to notes.

Next, I'll either add my Gen 2 or my Eeveelutions binder.

I'm so happy how this turned out.

The reveal of the new Mega Rayquaza ex in upcoming Delta Reign set made me think and write about power creep in Pokémon TCG.

I'm planning to expand on the topic later to discuss power creep as a concept and design tools to curb it but this one was such a good starting point as it makes the comparison to 2012 Rayquaza EX so easy.
