Hello everyone! Lily is back with some important updates that I’d like to share with you.

Over the past few weeks, I’ve been busy working on a moderation list specifically for NSFW accounts. While diving into this project, I came across several accounts on x.com that were actively posting explicit content. Since these posts clearly fall under NSFW material, I had no choice but to add these accounts to my moderation list to help keep the community safe.

The process turned out to be more time-consuming than I initially expected. Tracking down all the NSFW accounts on Bluesky proved to be quite the challenge, and I had to invest a significant amount of time to ensure that every account posting NSFW content was identified. Interestingly, I also discovered that some of the NSFW accounts on Bluesky, which are very active in posting explicit content, are actually bots. This revelation adds another layer of complexity to the moderation process.

In addition to the language barrier—since I’ve noticed that some posts include Chinese or Japanese text—I’ve expanded my efforts by creating a separate moderation list for spam accounts on Bluesky. This list aims to filter out any accounts that might be spreading spam or dubious content. And that’s not all; I’m also planning to put together yet another list for any accounts that have been flagged or tagged by Bluesky for suspicious activities. This proactive step should further help in maintaining a secure and trustworthy environment.

On a related note, I’ve also observed a troubling trend: many spam accounts are now sharing sketchy websites on Bluesky. These links often lead to questionable destinations, so I strongly advise you to exercise caution. Please avoid clicking on any links from sources you’re not familiar with to protect your online security.

Recently, I’ve noticed a large number of NSFW accounts on Bluesky, and I feel it’s important to speak up about this issue. I’ve made several posts addressing my concerns and have also reported these accounts, but so far, Bluesky has not taken any action to ban or suspend them. Since there has been no official response, I decided to take matters into my own hands by creating a moderation list to help users identify and block these accounts.

Thankfully, some people have already subscribed to my moderation list and have started blocking these accounts. This is a step in the right direction, but there’s still a lot of work to be done. I will continue updating my list as I come across more NSFW accounts, ensuring that more users are aware of them and can take action accordingly.

If Bluesky continues to ignore my posts and reports, I won’t stay silent. I will keep calling out these NSFW accounts and spreading awareness to protect the community. Everyone deserves a safe and comfortable space online, and I won’t stop advocating for that.

I’m reaching out to share an issue I believe requires serious attention. Over the past few days, I’ve noticed a significant increase in NSFW accounts on Bluesky, and it’s becoming a growing concern. While people are free to express themselves within the platform’s guidelines, the volume of this type of content is escalating at an alarming rate.

So far, I’ve identified 32 accounts consistently sharing similar NSFW content, and there are likely more that will need to be added to my list. This isn’t just about personal preference; it’s about ensuring Bluesky remains a platform where all users can feel comfortable and safe. Excessive amounts of unmoderated NSFW content can deter users from engaging and potentially harm the community’s overall experience.

I strongly believe Bluesky Moderation needs to address this situation more effectively. However, as part of the community, we can also take steps to help manage the issue.
