The #developer world likes to say that no one cares about infrastructure. It’s a cute marketing line to promote dev tools. But you know who does care about #infrastructure? The #SysAdmin or #PlatformEngineer (Or whatever we’re calling ourselves now days)! We should have an OpsRel (Operations Relations) movement!

Vita da #PlatformEngineer: c'é un utente gitlab usato come bot molto legacy di cui nessuno aveva la 2fa né codici di recupero.
Con un personal access token abbiamo caricato una chiave SSH tramite API, con quella `ssh -i new_key [email protected] 2fa_recovery_codes` che rigenera i codici di recupero e finalmente recuperato l'accesso.
Morale della storia: **mai lasciare personal access token in giro** (ma questa volta mi hanno salvato il c**o).

Platform engineering is mostly just whiplash from context switching between five different IaC solutions, two different clouds, how the syntax works from your on-prem router, fielding questions about CI config, endless YAML, it's always DNS, and how we fix the coffee machine when the red light comes on.
It's unsurprising how many of the survivors through from the old sysadmin days I know have #adhd. Me included...
