anyone know about the recyclability of shrink wrap?
am opening a product packaged with shrink wrap right now.
from a quick check online I see people saying that polyolefin and PVC are common materials (with the latter being more problematic). though this doesn't really tell me where to drop it off if i want to recycle it...

BBC"California's attorney general is suing #ExxonMobil, alleging the oil giant engaged in a 'decades-long campaign of deception' about the effectiveness of #PlasticsRecycling.
"In the civil lawsuit filed on Monday, Attorney General Rob Bonta accused Exxon of contributing to a 'deluge' of plastic pollution, while telling Californians that recycling was a fix.
"'For decades, ExxonMobil has been deceiving the public to convince us that plastic recycling could solve the plastic waste and pollution crisis when they clearly knew this wasn’t possible,' Bonta said."

Yes, but at what cost to the environment? Waste plastic in roads may be problematic for enhancing microplastics pollution through road abrasion.
