    Discovered in 1998, the Armillaria ostoyae covers 2,385 acres - almost 10 square kilometres - in the Blue Mountains of US state #Oregon

    Scientists also believed it could be anywhere between 2,400 - 8.690 years old! 🤯

    This has recently been overtaken by Poseidon’s Ribbon Weed in #SharkBay #WesternAustralia covering approximately 200 square kilometres (77 square miles)!
