Meanwhile, I found the perfect solution: @planifyapp
Planify supports reccurring tasks and is just overall pretty nice. I use it to work through a daily checklist and keep track of weekly and monthly tasks. It also works really well as a scratchpad for other little backlog todos. It's getting a ton of great updates recently.
It really encourages you to think about *when* you plan to do something. That really helps me a lot.

@planifyapp Hi, thank you for creating #Planify. Planify still has performance issues to sync my > 1000 tasks, even using LAN connectivity. It literally takes minutes (it's not crashing anymore, though). Is there an easy/good way to debug/benchmark that? I'd really like to use the app, but currently it's just too slow for me.

My big TODO list Markdown file got too hard to keep track off so I'm finally switching back to CalDAV in order to get tags and things thanks to the great #Planify app, tasks.org on Android and the fact that Nextcloud now has a great web tasks manager too 🥳

Trying out #Nextcloud to sync my task lists using #Planify. Let's see how this works.

Hands down, @planifyapp is the best to do app on any platform. Just fantastic. I can't live without it. Which is why I'm a monthly subscriber. If you have an app that you can't live without you absolutely should do a monthly subscription so you can ensure that you can keep using the tool.
Big kudos to @a23 for this. It's the one todo app that I can use across my many laptops and sync across them.
I would love to see #planify have a built in mcp server though. :-)

Oh, wow, since the last release @planifyapp from @a23 actually works on my tasks without crashing! Would be too great to eventually have a good looking and working task manager on my daily working machine!

I'm expanding my workflow, meaning I now interact with my task lists on multiple devices.
I'm getting the impression that this is apparently not a common use case ...?

🗓️ Planify mi bylo doporučeno v komunitní místnosti o #triliumnext – a musím říct, fakt super!
Konečně krásná co padne do #Gnome, jednoduchá a funkční aplikace pro správu úkolů, která se napojí na #Nextcloud #oscloud přes CalDAV.Nextcloud (backend) + DAVx⁵ + Tasks.org (Android) + Planify (desktop)
Funguje to skvěle dohromady.#FOSS #Planify #Nextcloud #CalDAV #Linux #OpenSource #oscloud
