The giant Chiros was limping along when his friend Amoni hailed him.
"Greetings, brother, what ails you this winter morning?"
Chiros heaved a sigh that set the bare trees swaying.
"It's my feet again. I'm #plagued by the worst case of gnaw-ritis."
Chiros's feet were swollen and stippled with a spray of dark pinpricks on his tawny skin.
Amoni sighed in sympathy. Damn vampire squirrels! They were so tiny, impossible to see, and they loved the sweet blood of giants.
