The Public Knowledge Project (@PublicKnowledgeProject) has turned 25 this year #pkp25. Brian Owen, former PKP managing director, has been one of the decisive forces behind establishing PKP as a global leader in #openaccess and #freesoftware for scholarly publishing. On June 26th and 27th 2023, the Instituto Biológico de São Paulo hosted the PKP Brasil 2023 event organized by PKP, the Brazilian Association of Scientific Editors (ABEC Brasil), and the Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO).
The event was a part of the 25th-anniversary celebrations of both PKP and SciELO and was the first PKP event held in Portuguese!
