This affects all online booking platforms, but station ticket counters and machines are supposed to be functional. Alternatively, you can try booking in the morning or, in a reservation optional train, buy from the conductor: rynek-kolejowy.pl/wiadomosci/p

    This comes on the heels of an announcement that roughly an eighth of PKPIC tickets are now sold at ticket desks, but the national carrier is not planning on closing any (more) of them… only shortening opening hours, closing individual windows and, well, if a franchisee pulls out and no one else steps up, there's not much they can do, can they?: rynek-kolejowy.pl/wiadomosci/p

  10. Jadę sobie #pkp #intercity Warszawa -  Świnoujście. Skład w ogóle z Augustowa 🤯. Nabity.

    Na Warszawie Centralnej 30 min planowy postój (myślałem że to wąskie gardło a tu proszę jest pojemność na parkowanie składów na centralnym...).

    W Dąbiu blisko godzinna wycieczka do Szczecina (53 minuty). Od czasów PRLu nie można ogarnąć dzielenia i łączenia składów w Dąbiu. Coś co zajmuje poniżej 60s na dworcach Europy Zachodniej.

    W sumie 1.5 h można by ściąć co najmniej na tej trasie. Kto tym zarządza? Jak koleje mają przejąć ruch samochodowy w Polsce? Pociągi pełne, nie ma biletów , przejazdy sztucznie wolne. Kazik wsiada w golfa i jedzie ...

The infrastructure manager outright admitted to skimping on maintenance for lines awaiting delayed overhauls despite receiving billions of PLN from the state budget for this purpose every year.
    - On 26 April, a tire (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Railway_) crack on an InterCity train running the Łódź-Warsaw-Tricity route resulted in delays country-wide as PKPIC decided to limit all carriages with the same type of wheelset to 140 km/h until the cause of the incident could be determined. This covered about a third of all PKPIC trains, and the author points out that even after DB decided to replace tired wheelsets with monobloc ones across the ICE fleet after Eschede, PKPIC continues to have them retained during car overhauls.
    - An increase in maximum speeds on the Nasielsk-Sierpc route to 100-120 km/h has increased the number of level crossing accidents - only a handful has been fitted with barriers. There have been 3 accidents in 2023, before the overhaul, 6 in 2025, and 4 in the first four months of 2026 alone. This has been a significant source of strain on Koleje Mazowieckie's Diesel rolling stock availability (and budget)
