  9. Today in #GameDev I got PyScript, SvelteKit, and PixiJS all playing nicely together in a single docker container.
    The result: the game I've been jamming on can display the hexagonal map in the browser.
    Despite the game's core being written in Python...

    Next up, hooking up controls and actions so that I can play the game outside the developer console.

  10. Quite a few firsts here... my first Pixi.js project (literally started implementing it, this morning) and my first project written with Neovim (LazyVim).

    This is the very early stage of a visual knowledge map editor... currently, with placeholder (game) graphics.

    Curious to see how far I get by the end of the weekend. The use of Neovim implies a real struggle with muscle memory 😅

    Source code coming soon-ish. It's a mess really. I got the first prototype going in less than 20 hours.

    It's interesting to see my code quality fluctuate so badly depending on my mood and current private life situation.

    Sometimes I feel like it's clean and concise. Other times I change the way I do stuff and randomly change course...

  12. Are you intrested in a template for #PixiJS games?
    It's support web export, and desktop with Tauri (lighter than Electron), have some basic scene control, a loader scene, github actions...

    If you want it I need to clear it a little and add documentation xD

    While it's not a game framework - depending on what type of game you're making, you might wanna check out #PixiJS:

    I'm using it for a Point+Click/Escape The Room type of game, so I didn't really need bells and whistles of a full game engine.
    (But it has asset loading, sound/music + other companion libs)
