It requires Android 16 and is only available for now on Pixel devices; the device has to be linked to a Google account, and the logs may include sensitive information, like browser navigation history, so secure sharing of the logs is important.
The logs may also be deletable by attackers, Ó Cearbhaill told CyberScoop, but he said he understands there are plans to strengthen protections against that in future versions. And lots of attacks would be detectable in the logs where attackers wouldn’t necessarily have the root access needed to try to delete logs, he said.
To enable Intrusion Logging, users need to be using Android Advanced Protection Mode, and can find the feature at Settings > Security & privacy > Advanced Protection > Intrusion Logging. If users suspect some kind of security incident, they’ll need to export and share the logs with a forensic analyst.

Switched my phone from a Pixel 8 to a Pixel 10a and it was a bumpy ride. The text message backup would not restore, data wouldn't copy across, Google Wallet won't load and didn't load on the old phone either.
The stuff that does work is the stuff I pay for, Fastmail, 1Password, and my VPN. Those are solid and reliable.
I had a way to export text messages, so nothing is lost, but the Android Switch app was useless.

So that night installing GrapheneOS was easy after I went through hell in trying to get Chromium with Web-USB on my Non-Main PC running kubuntu v24.04.4 LTS.
After an Hr of trying I gave up & moved onto trying to get Chrome on the system but that also was a bitch but not as hard as Chromium🙄
After I was done with Chrome I used TimeShift to make it like evil chrome was never on my system.

Well today I got my Google Pixel 9a phone😁.
So now I can retire my old Asus ZenFone Z5 but only after I remove the bullshit OS that came with the Pixel 9a and install GrapheneOS😎
I like the phone but I don't like Google. -

So I switched from a Pixel phone back to an iPhone and Google will no longer allow me to make changes to my account without verifying with a phone I no longer have. (the pixel phone) I have tried account recovery, removing recovery phone number. I have no trouble accessing my account, it's when I go to make changes that it forces me to verify with old phone (not phone number, the device itself) This may be my sign to dump Google altogether. There are just some photos that my wife has shared with me I need access to. I've already THANKFULLY done a pull of my photos.

Aussie Pixel 6a owners: The big G is coughing up the money.
They've just given us a third option, which is a free repair. I stuck with Option 2. I've already had my battery fixed by a third party repairer and this payment more than covers it. Happy days.

Am I the only one noticing that when android "wakes up" (on a pixel 7 pro) the display that it flashes brightly before showing the lock screen where before the June 5th update, it would just show the lock screen.
This is especially noticeable at night as it's really bright compared to the dark room.

My phone has become bilingual? On various info panels and buttons, the language occasionally switches to Spanish. I've triple-checked and my device language is set to English. Yes, I have the Spanish and Dutch keyboards installed because I'm learning those languages, but has anyone seen Android just... decide to use Spanish?

All #gafam actors are out my life... except that iPhone I hold in my hands, which I'd rather not replace to avoid consuming too much (I'll buy a new phone when this one dies)...
But the latest developments (#apple following #google on #gulfofmexico ) make me want to do the switch.
However: how would I ever buy a #pixelphone from google, even if it is to install @GrapheneOS ?!?
Google won't get a single dime from me!
