Android 16 QPR2 has finally been released and adds (back, I would like to say) the option to set a custom app icon shape.
This only applies to the home screen though. Your apps list will stay circles no matter what, making the whole experience absolutely inconsistent …

@stonedonkey I tried all possible #androidlauncher in the last week - paid and free ones available on #playstore, #github and #web - there are some great options. I like #pixellauncher - but I would like to change a couple of things. To do so, I'll need to root #googlepixel - I look forward to it.
