Wprowadza ona szereg nowości i ulepszeń dla smartfonów, słuchawek i zegarków. Wśród kluczowych zmian znalazł się odświeżony interfejs Material 3 Expressive dla starszych modeli, inteligentna funkcja Adaptive Audio dla słuchawek Pixel Buds Pro 2 oraz automatyczne wyświetlanie wskazówek z Map Google na zegarku Pixel Watch.

Najbardziej widoczną zmianą jest udostępnienie interfejsu Material 3 Expressive, znanego z najnowszych telefonów Pixel 10, starszym urządzeniom. Aktualizacja trafi na smartfony począwszy od modelu Pixel 6, a także na Pixel Tablet. Użytkownicy zyskają dzięki niej nowe możliwości personalizacji, takie jak efekty na żywo dla tapety na ekranie blokady, pozwalające dodawać animacje kształtów czy efekty pogodowe. Przebudowie uległ także panel Szybkich Ustawień, a aplikacja Telefonu zyskała nowe opcje dostosowywania wyglądu.

Jeszcze w tym miesiącu posiadacze słuchawek Pixel Buds Pro 2 otrzymają aktualizację wprowadzającą funkcję Adaptive Audio. Dzięki niej słuchawki będą mogły inteligentnie dostosowywać się do dźwięków otoczenia, pozwalając zachować świadomość tego, co dzieje się wokół, bez przerywania słuchania muzyki czy podcastu.

Dodatkowo, funkcja Loud Noise Protection ma zapewnić dodatkową ochronę słuchu. Uaktualnienie ma także poprawić jakość rozmów z Asystentem Gemini w hałaśliwym otoczeniu oraz wprowadzić możliwość odbierania połączeń lub odrzucania odpowiedzi na wiadomości za pomocą gestów głowy – skinienia lub potrząśnięcia.

Mapy Google bez użycia rąk na Pixel Watch

Aktualizacja przynosi również znaczące udogodnienie dla użytkowników zegarków Pixel Watch. Od teraz, po uruchomieniu nawigacji pieszej lub rowerowej w telefonie, wskazówki z Map Google będą automatycznie wyświetlane na ekranie smartwatcha. Cały proces ma odbywać się bez konieczności dotykania zegarka czy ponownego wyjmowania telefonu z kieszeni, zapewniając w pełni bezobsługową nawigację z poziomu nadgarstka.

Proces udostępniania aktualizacji rozpoczyna się już dziś, jednak Google zaznacza, że będzie on przebiegał stopniowo w ciągu najbliższych kilku tygodni, w zależności od urządzenia i operatora sieci komórkowej.
