Ob da schon ein #Motorola-Modell dabei ist, welches später von #GrapheneOS unterstützt wird?
So ein #Razr-Klapphandy mit #GOS fände ich schon sehr cool, wenn auch ein wenig teuer ...
3 Jahre Android-Updates und 5 Jahre Security-Patches sind allerdings auch deutlich kürzer als die #Pixel-Serie bietet. 😔
Either way, abwarten heißt die Devise. Mein #Pixel8 ist alles andere als austauschbedürftig.

I am interested in purchasing a Pixel 8 with Graphene OS or other de-googled Android pre-installed.
Know of anyone specializing in that? If so, please send me a link.
I looked on ebay, but most of the phones listed there with Graphene OS are older models.
The reason I am most interested in the Pixel 8 and not an older model is the camera quality. I do not use a smart phone as a phone, but want a compact video camera.
If you know of quality "quick cam" types of devices that are not phones, feel free to mention those, too.

With #GrapheneOS announcing support for presumably more smartphones by #Motorola starting with with 2027 models, I can finally dream of getting a clamshell flip phone that combines good HW, a nice OS with a small form factor: #RazrUltra! 🎉🕺
However, with Google's new #desktopmode rolling out these days, it might probably worth to think about large folding phones like #RazrFold which might double as a notebook replacement using a BT keyboard & optional USB-C monitor connection. 🤔 It comes with more weight, size & a higher price tag. 🫣
My #Pixel8 will last a few more years anyway. It's more likely that the #OnePlus5 of my wife finally kicks the bucket so that she'll get the Pixel while I buy a Motorola.
Would you accept the downsides of the larger #Fold in order to replace your personal notebook? Would you be able to replace a #Linux desktop with an #Android? Well, at least there seems to be a native #Emacs for Android. Unsure if it'd provide same UX though.

Hat jemand aus dem Kreis der #GrapheneOS oder #LineageOS Nutzer eine Idee, warum #Seedvault Backups immer wieder abbrechen?
Zu Beginn meiner GrapheneOS Zeit hatte ich mein #Pixel8 mit Seedvault jeweils auf einen USB-Stick gesichert. Das ging gefühlt 10 mal gut, der Rest waren Abbrüche.
Also #Nextcloud und #DAVx5 eingerichtet, was 10-15 stabil lief, dann immer wieder abbrach und nun bricht Seedvault nach ca. 80% regelmäßig ab. Gibt es vielleicht funktionierende Alternativen?

Hmmm. It seems my volume rocker/buttons randomly stopped working on my #pixel8 running @GrapheneOS
My phone is normally kept on vibrate and I usually have ear buds in when playing any kind of media on it. Not sure exactly when this started but it was definitely within the last week or so. Never have gotten it wet, dropped or damaged, so this is a bit confusing.
